My Favorite Day Of My Life - 949 Words

I grew up with the essentials; food, water, family in addition to the squad of Barbie dolls. I genuinely never wanted to be an adult. I enjoyed eating sugary food that would provide me with a boost of energy and toys that came to life with my powerful imagination. Friday’s were my favorite day of the week growing up. I would spring out of bed with glee, not worried about anything except which beanie baby will accompany me on my adventures. I grabbed my puppy bear beanie baby, Autumn. The house filled with the aroma of bacon, so we jolt out of my room and into our favorite chairs we went. A plate of cut up waffles drowned in syrup quickly entered my mouth, the warmness of the waffles soothed my rumbling stomach. I pleaded with excitement,†¦show more content†¦A huge Ferris wheel with light with a big T in the middle was flashing in front of my face. All my friends were on the ride, Buzz Lightyear and Barbie were motioning me to get on. I was afraid of heights however I didn’t want them to know. â€Å"I’ll be right back; I got some business to take handle.† I waved my wishlist in the air, so they didn t think I was lying. I sprinted to the doll aisle and examined every single Barbie doll with concern picking which was worthy to be on my list. I took a couple off the shelf and imagined how that dollies would interact with each other. I cautiously began writing my wishlist. â€Å"Life is so stressful, what do I tell Santa?† I groaned I tried so hard to hit the snooze button, but I kept missing. Today was Friday, the day I dreaded the most. It was that one time of the month that made you miss being young, Pay Day. I picked up the pile of envelopes I left unopened just for this day. I logged on my phone and saw all the notifications showing me that the bills were already charged to my account. Unlike my childhood, I am spending money without receiving a tangible product. No Barbie beach house with a built-in elevator but a feeling of responsibility and a slight chance my credit score will praise was in the making. Before embarking on to the real world, I put my big girl gloves on without any assistance.
